Overview
Architectural and engineering services were provided for the Porterville Developmental Center which serves adults with developmental and intellectual disabilities in a general treatment area and a separate secure treatment program.
The project consisted of:
- Three new 500 HP steam boilers and associated systems at the central power plant and several wards’ mechanical rooms.
- Replacement of the steam distribution infrastructure connecting the central power plant and mechanical rooms.
- A new CBC 11b compliant restroom, door, and parking for the central power plant.
