Overview
Located in Norwalk, California, this state hospital has an open campus within a security perimeter. This project furnished patients and their families with a modernized and secure visitor center and new park. JCCA designed a single perimeter security fence to encircle the Chronic Treatment West building and new park, and a second perimeter security fence to encircle the Skilled Nursing Facility building.
Improvements included the following:
- New Visitor Center and sallyport
- New bathroom facility in the new park
- New perimeter and Visitor Center video surveillance
- New security kiosks
- Enhanced interior security in unit and patios
- Door and Gate ACS (access control and position sensors)
- Security intercommunications
- New perimeter access road
- New parking lot
- New emergency generator
