Overview
Architectural and engineering services were provided for the Porterville Developmental Center which serves adults with developmental and intellectual disabilities in a general treatment area and a separate secure treatment program.
The project consisted of the removal and replacement of the existing fire alarm system and all related materials and equipment. The construction portion of the project was phased to accommodate the operational and security requirements of the Department of Developmental Services.
The new fire alarm system included a central monitoring and control station. This system was designed with features to enable expansion for future facility improvements and additional buildings.
